in order to adequately use spears you must also have high athletics. When it comes to foot combat, the trick is to be aggressive and moving left/right to avoid hits. When it comes to horse combat, it's all about timing and truly the only advice I have is practice. Your character rather weak at the start, so pretty much everyone is faster and stronger than you. Players who are experienced with M&B may not have too much trouble, but combat in SP is definitely harder now. As you level up and improve your combat skills, this will become less of a problem. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Melee combat feels horrible. I've been playing for a bit now and even though I like the game, the combat, especially melee just feels awful. Like, I can ride around on my horse, through the enemy lines, hack them to bits with my 2H axe, or shoot them with my bow, but the moment I step off of my horse and decide to eruzYB.
